• Below is a list of the speaker opening sizes in the housing trim. The depth of a mounted housing is 105 mm without the interior tail light cover and about 70 to 80 mm with the tail light cover, depending on the diameter of the speaker magnet.

Installation is fast and easy

 

• The housing may be installed with or without installed speakers

• Remove your rear wing window trim (if applicable)

 

• Slide the top edge of the speaker housing under the cab lip.

• Remove the protective covering of the adhesive strip and fix in place. This alone is suitable for most installations. Should you desire extra support, drill and fix two screws (5 included) in the positions indicated.

 

• The most difficult part of installing rear speakers in a Defender is running your speaker cables from the radio or stereo to the back. Some choose to run their cables underneath and others up above. Beware, the cables that came with any speakers that we've purchased were always too short for our Defender 110 and we suggest that you check the cable lengths of the speakers that you purchase before you start to bury the cables. Be prepared to find a longer length of cable and whatever connectors your speakers may have.
